0 3 John H. Sacramento, CA 2/1/2010 I took my ''87 Bronco II here when I smoked the tranny (stock 4-speed auto) in March '09. My truck is lifted 4 inches and running 33" tires, putting additional stress on the tranny over the stock setup. I've also been 4-wheeling it for the past 2 years. Well, the owner Tom gave me a thorough breakdown of the minimum parts and what may also have to be replaced depending on condition of some of the parts as he finds them after. After shopping about 6 places, his price was under AAMCO of course, forget the dealer, and a bit high or low of the other independent shops. My dad was a factory trained mechanic for 50 years and my son was a mechanic for Dodge and Honda for a total of 12 years, and I researched my tranny online before hunting for a shop. But he really conveyed an understanding of the specific tranny in my truck. After he had it open and all the new parts were in, I went in and he showed me all the damaged parts, and compared the upgraded new parts to the originals. He essentially rebuilt it with parts for the same tranny for a '91-'95 Explorer with a 4.0 litre engine. My Bronco only has a 2.9 with about 2/3 the power. When I got it back, it was perfect. And here it is 10 months later, and it is bomb-proof.....believe me! I put that puppy through it's paces and no complaints. I've talked with Tom several times during the time he was working on my truck, and I find him to be totally honest. I referred a co-worker with a Honda Oddesy van that was barely driving. He advised him that the dealer would be cheaper and give the same 12 month warranty, but he priced it for him anyway.....and he was right!

2 12 Kyla M. Sacramento, CA 8/14/2010 I took my car here to have the transmission looked at after an accident, but fortunately, no work was needed. However, the customer service was so amazingly prompt, helpful and efficient that I'm almost looking forward to having transmission trouble just so the House of Automatic Transmissions can fix it!

Finding a good auto transmission service shop is getting harder all the time. Fewer and fewer seem to employ people who have long-term experience and vast technical knowledge. They corrected every problem and twice went well beyond standard service to make the experience even better. These guys are like a special forces unit for your transmission among a vast sea of chumps.
